Watch: The first trailer for Pete's Dragon flies in!

After the teaser poster was released a few days ago, we now have the first teaser trailer for the live-action remake of Pete's Dragon and it really is a tease of Elliott the dragon. Click below to see!

This first look at Pete's Dragon feels like a blend of the Jurassic Park films (which might be from seeing Bryce Dallas Howard), classic Disney, which seems like a good angle to go with after the success of Jurassic World and the string of classics to live-action remakes Disney seem to be following.

The film also stars Wes Bentley, Karl Urban, Robert Redford and Oakes Fegley as Pete and Oona Laurence as Natalie.

We have our first plot from Disney UK too:
For years, old wood carver Mr. Meacham (Robert Redford) has delighted local children with his tales of the fierce dragon that resides deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. To his daughter, Grace (Bryce Dallas Howard), who works as a forest ranger, these stories are little more than tall tales…until she meets Pete (Oakes Fegley). Pete is a mysterious 10-year-old with no family and no home who claims to live in the woods with a giant, green dragon named Elliott. And from Pete’s descriptions, Elliott seems remarkably similar to the dragon from Mr. Meacham’s stories. With the help of Natalie (Oona Laurence), an 11-year-old girl whose father Jack (Wes Bentley) owns the local lumber mill, Grace sets out to determine where Pete came from, where he belongs, and the truth about this dragon.
Like the teaser poster, the trailer is a game of spot the dragon. This looks like it could be very interesting.

Pete's Dragon is out in the UK 12th August this year.
