Back in 2011, Rio told the story of the unable-to-fly macaw Blu getting lost in Rio de Janeiro and having to survive in the hostile environment. But the sequel's latest trailer reveals that Rio 2 will go out of the city, as most of the plot will apparently take place in the jungle; that doesn't mean things will be any easier for Blu though, now father of three baby birds.

The cast from the first film is back, with Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway as the leads. It seems that despite the change of scenery and the introduction of Jewel's father, Rio 2 will have the same recipe that its predecessor had: Blu out of his comfort zone, a lot of music, vibrant colours, and even the same villain.
Blue Sky's next film is again directed by Carlos Saldanha and scheduled for a 4th April, 2014 in the UK, while the US movie-goers will have to wait for the 11th of the same month.
